Registered Nurse
Hospice of Washington County is seeking a full time Registered Nurse with either an ASN or a BSN Degree. Would prefer 3 – 5 years experience in either Hospital, Home-health, Long Term Care or Hospice setting. Some evening and weekend call required – but paid out at time and ½. Applicant will need a current driver’s license and proof of car insurance. Mileage reimbursed at IRS established rates. The Office is located in Washington, Iowa. Salary commensurate with experience. This position will work collaboratively with Home Care and System leadership to establish outcomes and strategies for passionate EOL care across the continuum. ED Specialist-Odyssey Healthcare/Vistacare
Candidate's can live anywhere in the US. This position does require travel. This is an FT interim Executive Director position managing a program where needed in the US in the absence of an Executive Director.
Responsible for the overall operation at the local office. Employment of qualified Hospice personnel and provision of Hospice services. Delegation and coordination of Hospice personnel evaluations. Establish and maintain standards of high quality care and customer service in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Establish implement and evaluate goals and objectives for Hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy. Maintain compliance with all legal rules and regulations. Meet growth and development targets and actively establish and maintain market acceptance and allegiance throughout the local service area. Manage all expenditures is a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s budget. Travel as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent experience and knowledge required. Masters degree in business or related field preferred.
2. Experience in health care sales and/or management with P&L responsibility.
3. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
4. Demonstrated history of sales and profit growth.
5. Knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of the Medicare Hospice Benefit preferred.
6. Understanding of Hospice care and the services provided to patient/family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary team.
7. Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices and state and local administrative licensure requirements.
